Happy 7th to WoW-V! Apr 01 2013 12:24 PM



We are 7 years old now! Here's to another 365 days of WoW-V goodness and SICKind shenanigans. Enjoy the cake.

And if you're looking for something creative and new to mess with, we are running our own custom Castle Doctrine server through SICKind. We'd love for you and your friends to come and join us in some burglary/trap-based mayhem! (it doesn't cost anything, real money or SICKles, to play)

Some donation-related fixes May 24 2012 05:49 PM
A few quick fixes have been done that primarily benefit donors or those considering donating. These changes impact both WoW-V and SICKind directly. Please let me know if there are any other issues.

• Fixed link to member's forum items in the donation PM
  
• Fixed ads on WoW-V that were still showing for those that had used the ad-removing item (Sorry about that! Will also be adding graphical placeholders later so that there isn't just blank space)
  
• Removed a few remnant links to old features on WoW-V that no longer exist
  
• Fixed the "donation amount" meter on WoW-V as there was a change in the PayPal API I wasn't aware of
  
• Added the donation meter to SICKind

As for adding back item saving for donors, it's still in progress. There is a problem right now with the fact that the old author IDs are no longer accurate since the change to IPB altered them. Once this is worked out I'll be able to add it back in. Shouldn't take too much longer and I apologize for the wait.

WoW-V & SICKind Registration/Auto-banning fixed Apr 17 2012 11:49 AM
Turns out having IPB's spam service enabled while using the CloudFlare service is a baaad idea. Why? Because it thinks basically everyone is coming from the same IP, and it got flagged as a spammer and was auto-banning damned near everyone registering yesterday and today.

MASSIVE apologies to those impacted, but thank goodness we caught it this quickly. I've unbanned all flagged accounts and changed how our services interact so that there will be no problems.

If you were impacted, I give you full freedom to scream your head off at me in this thread. I should have figured that would happen and didn't do the proper research into the sudden wave of supposed bots. I even ignored common sense that told me the accounts weren't similar enough to be your typical bot. So, SO sorry guys and gals! Will not happen again.

WoW-V Officially Hooked up to SICKind! Apr 03 2012 12:45 AM
The login system for the creators has finally been moved over. All logins can now be done using SICKind, meaning new accounts will finally work with WoW-V.

A lot of areas still need to be tweaked, but this is the primary use of WoW-V, so I figured I'd do it first. If there are any problems, please let me know! A lot of tiny bits of code had to be changed, so who knows if something was missed.



There is one slight downside, however... due to how browser security works, the sessions between SICKind and WoW-V cannot be shared. This means you can log in and out of either site independently. If you stay logged in all the time this shouldn't be an issue, but if you don't you'll find that your sessions will log out at different times on SICKind vs WoW-V.

This is unfortunately not something we can fix at the moment. It would require a major app creation to make it a true "single sign on" system, and we just aren't ready for that yet.

And to anyone confused, SICKind and WoW-V share the same account system! There is no need to create another account if it shows you as logged out. Simply try your existing account login info and you'll be logged in!
